The Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, announced that 12 companies from the country and abroad responded to the call of the Society for the Administration of Energy Assets (SAPE), in the framework of the market consultation regarding the feasibility study for the Tarnița-Lăpuşteşti pumped storage hydropower plant project.
“In a very short period of time, 12 large companies from the country and abroad responded to SAPE’s call in the market consultation regarding the feasibility study for the investment in Tarnița-Lăpuşteşti. I welcome the extraordinary level of interest shown and SAPE’s decision to extend the consultation by another 2 weeks, in order to have as much useful data as possible,” wrote Sebastian Burduja on Facebook, according to News.ro
The Minister of Energy added that “Tarnița-Lăpuşteşti is a strategic project for the Romanian energy system and a matter of national dignity. We will do it.”
On July 31, Sebastian Burduja stated that he hopes that the Tarnița-Lăpuşteşti pumped storage hydropower plant project will be completed within a year. The Liberal added that the value of the project is around one billion euros, “with an installed power between 500 MW and one GW, probably with four turbines.”
