About 13 non-binding offers were submitted for carrying out the feasibility study in Tarnița-Lăpuștești, announced the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja.

“A fundamental necessity of the national energy system is the development of storage and balancing capacities. In this regard, in the Government meeting of July 27, 2023, the Memorandum was adopted on the topic of Adopting measures to achieve the investment objective of the Tarnița – Lăpuștești storage hydroelectric plant (CHEAP). In order to achieve this objective, two companies were designated in which the Romanian State is the sole shareholder, respectively the majority – Societatea de Admnistrare a Participatiilion în Energie (SAPE S.A.) and SPEEH Hidroelectrica S.A. We conducted a market research and 13 non-binding offers were submitted to achieve the objective, from some of the most important profile companies in the world,” writes Sebastian Burduja in the mandate report for June 15 – August 31, 2023, according to Financialintelligence.

He adds: “We intend to contract the necessary feasibility study as soon as possible, with a deadline of completion by the end of 2024. Investors’ interest in the project is substantial.”
