Natural gas warehouses are filled to a proportion of 96.53%, according to data from September 4, the amount of gas stored being 177.7 million cubic meters higher than last year, which means that “we are well prepared for the cold period”, announced the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja.
“New good news regarding winter preparations! Natural gas storages are 96.53% full as of September 4, 2024. This ensures that we are well prepared for the cold period and have the necessary resources to efficiently manage energy demand, including to provide support to other states in difficulty, such as the Republic of Moldova. Compared to last year, the amount of gas stored is 177.7 million cubic meters higher, which reflects the efforts of the Ministry of Energy to ensure stability in the energy system, in such a turbulent period,” Burduja wrote on his Facebook page, quoted by Agerpres.
The Minister of Energy emphasized that, during the recent Winter Command, he discussed “clear measures and concrete plans to meet the demands of the next period”.
“Our main objective is to prepare ahead of time, so that every Romanian has access to energy without interruptions, regardless of the weather conditions or the volume of consumption. With almost full warehouses and a well-structured plan for the winter, we are ready to we face any situation that may arise”, the minister emphasized.
