“I believe in a sustainable future, in smart communities, using clean energy and with a challenging transition to a clean energy mix in the near future. With many refurbishments, job reconversions, adaptability and trust, I think we can succeed,” says Claudiu Butacu, President of the Bucharest Decatlon Solar Association, EFdeN and EnergiaTa co-founder.
“When you live in a bubble you start to think that you can change mindsets, when you meet the great interests of society, you hit reality. What does responsibility mean for young people – the future energy companies of Romania and for me? We are the last generation that can prevent the effects of global warming. The young generation was born in a world with debts, both natural and financial resources, where economic growth took the first place. We do not allow trial and error processes anymore: we must act quickly, innovate, respect, do not disturb, not come up with proposals that are too bold, we can fit in a few minutes at presentations and watch the magic formula fall from the sky. I see it as a huge challenge, put in arms without even being asked, like a victim with reduced vital signs, which we must keep alive, with old tools, with procedures that no longer work, with limited access to aid that is in a container in front of us, closed with the password: it is too expensive or not economically viable. Responsibility in energy determines us to think about the common mission, that of prospering in energy: to be prepared to redefine the energy sector through innovation, to build a connected global network and a SMART one, to cultivate and capitalize on the young generation of energy and to be ready to identify the energy sources when the fourth industrial revolution knocks on our door,” said Butacu, according to investenergy.ro.
