The Support service for Citizen-led renovation is an EU initiative which places citizens at the forefront of the energy transition, incorporating building renovations and renewable energy solutions into a holistic program. This initiative harnesses the combined strength and resources of local communities, with a main emphasis on empowering citizen groups, facilitating the creation of community-led energy projects, and offering technical support to realise these aspirations.
The project is now in its second phase and a call to select pilots, learners, and followers to receive tailored capacity building and technical assistance, together with several other benefits, is now open until 31st May 2024.
Open Call Applications
We are actively seeking enthusiastic participants to join us in various capacities – as Pilots, Learners, and Followers, in the open call of our project. Participants will gain access to customised support, including capacity building and technical assistance, setting a solid foundation for the implementation of their projects. Here is a snapshot of what each pathway offers:
- Pilots: Established energy communities will receive comprehensive support in project development, implementation, and replication.
- Learners: Emerging energy communities or those in the planning phase will be guided in developing their capacity for initiating and managing renovation projects.
- Followers: Communities interested in exploring the concept of energy communities/citizen-led renovation will be provided with insights, learning materials, and networking opportunities to prepare for future implementation.
For more information about the call, visit the website and submit applications here (call open until 31st May 2024).
