In 2018, 3 complete NOx reduction plants were implemented and put into operation at energy groups no. 5 and 7 – SE Turceni and energy group no. 6 – SE Rovinari, announces EC Oltenia, stating that all its energy groups will comply with the current requirements of the European Union starting with March 30, 2020.

In a press release, the EC Oltenia presents the current status of environmental investments in order to comply with the EU’s NOx emission values.

At present, the procurement procedure for 4 plants has been started, having as object “NOx Emission Reduction System for Combustion gases in Energy Groups No 3 and 4 – SE Rovinari”, respectively “Installation for NOx Reduction for Combustion gases in Energy Groups 3 and 4 – SE Turceni”.

For the other four plants, namely the energy groups No.7 and 8 – SE Işalniţa and the energy groups no.1 and 2 – SE Craiova II, the procedure is in the stage of approving the documentation in the Technical Commission of the CE Oltenia.

According to the Industrial Emissions Act No.278 / 2013 (transposition of Directive 2010/75 / EU), large combustion plants must comply with NOx emissions below the limit of 200 mg / Nmc.
