CEZ Vânzare, the largest energy supplier in the south-west of Romania, recently launched a national 100% renewable energy offer, intended for both domestic customers and companies. The energy comes entirely from the largest onshore wind farm in Europe, owned by CEZ Group in Dobrogea, with a total installed capacity of 600 MW.

“The CEZ Verde product is aimed at the ‘green generation’, that acts responsibly in their daily activities, choosing energy efficient solutions, preferring less polluting alternatives, recycles and encourages others to get involved in protecting the planet. At the same time, CEZ Verde responds to the needs of sustainable businesses, with actions and projects of social responsibility for the environment, which measure and reduce their impact on the environment ”, said Cornelia Szabo, President of CEZ Vanzzare, quoted in a corporate press release.

According to the study “Perception of Romanians about a ‘green’ future”, initiated by CEZ Group in Romania, more than half of the respondents (62.72%) said they try to have a positive impact on the environment through their daily actions, and among the Romanians who are responsible for the environment, 7 out of 10 take care to not dispose waste in forbidden areas, 6 out of 10 selectively recycle garbage, and more than 2 out of 10 try to reduce water and energy consumption. Also, according to a segmentation study conducted by Reveal Marketing Research agency for CEZ Group in Romania, 75% of respondents – legal entities, respectively 59% of individuals, associate green energy with a product offered by electricity suppliers, 28% from all companies already use green energy, which has a general attractiveness score of 72% for legal entities and 74% for individuals.
