The Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom has appointed Christopher Veit as a member of the Management Board of OMV Petrom responsible for the Upstream activity. In accordance with the Articles of Incorporation of OMV Petrom, the appointment was made for the remainder of Peter Zeilinger’s term of office, until April 16, 2023. Christopher Veit has accepted the appointment and will take office from October 1, 2020.
Prior to Supervisory Board’s meeting, Peter Zeilinger informed the Board that he was relinquishing his term of office as a member of the Management Board of OMV Petrom responsible for the Upstream activity. The waiver will take effect on September 30, 2020.

Peter Zeilinger holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany. In his over 27 years with the OMV Group, he has held a number of management and technical positions in Austria, Albania, Pakistan, Romania and New Zealand.
Chris Veit holds a university degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Leoben University of Mining. He began his career at Schlumberger as a geophysical investigation engineer and, in 1986, joined OMV Austria Exploration & Production GmbH in Gaenserndorf, as a production engineer. He has held a number of technical and management positions in Libya, Pakistan and Austria, including Senior Vice President and Director of OMV Austria Exploration & Production GmbH. Starting in January 2016, he took over the position of Senior Vice President Exploration, Development and Production, in order to develop and contribute to the evaluation and reorganization of the entire Upstream organization within OMV. At the moment, Christ Veit represents OMV in several Supervisory Boards of his subsidiaries and is a member of the advisory board of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Leoben Mining University.
