Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu asked, on Friday, the Ministry of Energy and ANRE to analyze the speculations on the gas market, as “there have been situations of suppliers that have unjustifiably increased prices”, while in all of Europe they have decreased.
Azomureş announced on Friday that it is forced to suspend production, because, since the resumption of production, which took place in October, natural gas costs have increased by almost 40%, unjustifiably.
“I ask the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, to look carefully at what is happening regarding the price of gas. I have seen that there have been situations of suppliers who have unjustifiably increased their prices, since in all of Europe they have decreased”, said the prime minister in the meeting.
“It is true that they are not felt in the population’s bills, where there are ceilings, but these companies then come to the state so that we settle the difference to the capped price. Please check the situation. I hope that ANRE will also take notice”, said Prime Minister Ciolacu.
At the same time, Ciolacu also declared in the Government meeting that today they will allocate the necessary sums for the proper functioning of the public service of thermal energy supply in a centralized system.
