The Competition Council analyzes the transaction through which the DKV Mobility Group intends to take over the companies Smart Diesel and Tax Refund.

The DKV Mobility Group is a provider of intelligent solutions for mobility services. Through its companies, the group offers the DKV fuel card and additional services. The DKV Mobility Group provides refueling services, helps maintain mobility and ensure an efficient way of working.

Smart Diesel sells its fuel card business (issuing and selling its own fuel cards, reselling other dealers’ fuel cards and providing access to toll systems). Tax Refund is and will continue to be active on the VAT and excise refund market.

Smart Diesel had a turnover of 1.5 billion lei and a profit of 31 million lei in 2019. The company benefits from a network of 35 stations and 1,400 filling points in 17 EU countries.
