The Competition Council authorized the transaction by which CIS Gaz intends to enter the shareholding of Next Energy Distribution, together with the Toma family, the institution announced.
CIS Gaz is engaged in the construction works of utility projects for fluids, while Next Energy Distribution is engaged in intermediation in the trade of fuels, ores, metals and chemical products for industry. Both companies are active in the field of wholesale and retail supply of natural gas, as well as in the construction of pipelines for the transport of natural gas and related works.
“Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the elimination of confidential information,” the institution’s press release also states.
