Competition Council authorized the transaction by which Silcotub SA takes over two recyclable industrial waste collection centers operated and managed by Silnef SRL, informs the competition authority through a press release.
Silcotub is a manufacturer of steel tubes, pipes, tubular profiles and accessories for them, part of the international Tenaris group, one of the main suppliers of tubes, pipes and related services especially for the global energy industry.
Silnef is a company specialized in the collection and recovery of various types of waste, such as ferrous metal waste, non-metal waste or electrical and electronic equipment waste.
“Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment”, it is mentioned in communicated.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the removal of confidential information.
