Romania is currently going through an unprecedented political crisis generated by these external interferences in the electoral process, says Radu Burnete, executive director of Concordia.
“Romania is currently going through an unprecedented political crisis generated by these external interferences in the electoral process, which already has significant economic consequences. Our message is firm: the economic environment remains united, responsible and oriented towards stability,” says Radu Burnete, executive director of Concordia.
“I want you to be sure that all leaders and entrepreneurs, together with the employees of the companies we represent, are doing everything possible to ensure that the economy remains stable, even in such complicated times. Trust in the European direction and in the free market remains a fundamental pillar for the business environment. Monday is a normal working day for us, and we expect state institutions to make well-founded decisions that take into account the economic and social implications.
“I urge all politicians to pay attention to the signal they have received. People are frustrated by corruption, wasted public money and a state that often treats them with contempt. Changing these practices and attitudes must begin immediately. In parallel with organizing a fair electoral process, the Government must focus on those measures that will stabilize the deficit and the economy.
“We are here and ready for dialogue to identify the best solutions. All pro-democratic and pro-European forces need to work together so that Romania is stronger at the end of this crisis,” concludes Radu Burnete.
