Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) carries out investigations at Lukoil and Gazprom gas stations in Romania, according to information obtained by Hotnews.ro.
Also, in parallel, the ANPC commissioners carry out controls at other stores in Romania belonging to Russian companies.
This happens after ANPC received several complaints regarding the abusive behaviors that these companies allegedly had.
Lukoil Romania has 314 gas stations, is the third largest oil company in Romania and is owned by PJSC Lukoil, based in Moscow.
Gazprom Romania owns 19 gas stations and is a subsidiary of the Serbian company NIS Petrol, which is majority owned by Gazprom Neft, the oil division of the Russian state-owned company Gazprom.
