The crisis caused by the coronavirus has increased the response capacity of companies, which are now much better prepared to cope with shocks, said Cristian Secoșan, CEO Siemens Romania and Moldova, at the 8th annual edition of Spring Cocktail, a concept event organized by Energynomics.

“Most companies are better prepared, we all had to adapt and find the new ways to continue our business. We serve our customers the same as before or even better. We have created our internal system with a new approach, adapted to the new reality, to the new business environment,” he said.

Siemens is undergoing a comprehensive transformation process on a global level and, after the listing of Siemens Energy as a separate company, the business is now based on three pillars –Siemens AG, Siemens Healthineers and Siemens Energy.

Siemens Romania, as a subsidiary of Siemens AG, offers digital solutions for the industry and also for smart infrastructure. We believe that the key starting point for a decarbonized future is at the Grid Edge, the dimension between intelligent grids, smart buildings and smart industry. We are creating a decentralized energy landscape in which microgrids are integrated.

“The grid is increasingly smart and connected, it needs digitalization, automation, and at the edge, there is a new environment, where distributors, industry, buildings and other consumers are. We are present in the distribution area, in the industry area, in the buildings segment – where there are changes, especially in the prosumer segment. This segment creates a new grid environment, new microgrids that need to be managed, and we are here to help with technology and know-how. Storage will be needed to ensure the stability of the grid, and storage is also part of our portfolio.

Furthermore, smart buildings can be managed with Siemens technology, from electricity and distribution, lighting to management, heating and security. At the same time, the industry is a special focal point for Siemens and I cannot imagine even one working place in the world without a controller or automation equipment supplied by Siemens,” he said.

“We are talking about a new world, not because of the pandemic, but because of the digitalization and the changes brought about by technological developments. Siemens Romania is continuously adjusting the structure and capabilities to be ready to face all the challenges and changes, always committed to supporting our customers”.

This conference Spring Cocktail 2021 was organized by Energynomics, with the support of our partners: AON România, Automobile Bavaria, Electrica Furnizare, Hidroelectrica, ING Bank România, OMV Petrom, PeWeTe, Photomate, Siemens.

Almost 250 people joined the MyConnector platform to watch the LIVE event and the speeches.
