CupruMin made a profit in 2013 and will be sold by listing on the stock exchange in 2015, along with other companies, says Economy Minister, Constantin Niță. “We want to list other companies, not just from the energy field. Next year we want to list a company in mining or other industry”, said Niță.

“CupruMin has potential, given our capacity of extraction and the investment,” says Niță, explaining that he stays very firm about the destination of the money from privatization: they must remain in the respective companies. “CupruMin ended 2013 with profit and should be a company not only profitable, but super-profitable.”

Oltchim will be sold bundled with Arpechim

Niță says that the Romanian state is currently negotiating with OMV Petrom the acquisition Arpechim, whereas at least one of the potential buyers asked for refinery to be bundled with Oltchim.

“There are investors who have expressed the tender condition of taking also Arpechim”, says Niță. He added that investors come to the June 6 auction“from East and West, China included”.
