The presentation of the financial results of the Renault group, made by Luca de Meo, CEO, and Clotilde Delbos, CFO, also included a series of presentations of the company’s medium-term plans. Among them appeared, surprisingly, the future electric model of Dacia that will be developed on the new CMF-AEV electric platform, with the launch date 2024, much earlier than the previous schedule, reveals the data analyzed by Profit.ro.
After, in previous presentations, Renault hinted that Dacia will have a new electric car in 2026, which will most likely be the next generation of Sandero, now the situation has changed, with a new launch date being displayed: 2024, but also a new positioning.
For the next period, Renault Group has several planned launches, starting with the new Megane E-Tech, which is currently entering European markets, and continuing with the new electric models built on the new CMF-BEV electric platform: Renault 5, Renault 4, Alpine and Alpine SUV. In addition, the Renault plans include a Dacia model, which will have class A dimensions, similar to Spring.
“First, the CMF-EV platform will offer Megane E-Tech, then the future Scenic and the new Alpine GT crossover. The CMF-BEV platform will offer Renault 5, but also the successor of Renault 4. And we will bring CMF-A, and this is a decision we made this year, the successor of Dacia Spring,” announced Luca de Meo.
