In the current context of the Romanian energy market, arbitrage in the day-ahead market is an important source of revenue for companies trading electricity, said Morten Schøyen, Chief Product Officer at Pixii AS, at the conference “Battery Energy Storage Systems – BESS Romania”, organised by Energynomics.
This is possible due to the fact that on the Romanian energy market there are significant fluctuations in electricity prices, with values ranging between 65 and 80 lei per MWh (equivalent to 13-16 euro / MWh).
