The concerns of the Ministry of Energy are related to solving the pressing problems, one of the most important of which is the increase of generation capacity and implicitly the increase of the volume of energy made available to final consumers, said Dan Drăgan, adviser to the Minister of Energy, during the event „NRRP funding lines – which projects stand a better chance”, organized by Energynomics.
The official referred to the short-term measures, emergency ordinances for capping energy prices, which “came to the aid of industrial and household consumers. Then we have the exemption schemes for the payment of green certificates, the aid for energy-intensive industries, as well as the financing instruments from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and through the Modernization Fund.”
Referring to NRRP, Dan Dragan reminded that the ministry has just launched the call for projects for the realization of new generation capacities from renewable sources, photovoltaic and wind. “There are 457 million euros, we are waiting for projects for two months, and after analyzing the projects, we will proceed to sign the financing contracts. I would like to point out that this is the first time that a call for projects is so flexible, in the sense that we are addressing all market participants, producers with experience in the field of generation, but also industrial consumers.”
The ministry expects the project evaluation and appeals analysis to be completed between August and September 2022.
Dan Drăgan specified that during this quarter, so until the end of June, new calls for projects will be launched through NRRP, for the production of hydrogen through electrolyzers and for the cogeneration of high efficiency for the thermal needs in urban areas.
In his speech, Dan Drăgan presented the status and prospects of all the financing lines prepared by the Ministry of Energy and answered the questions from the participants in the conference.
