Flash Lighting Services makes digital lighting solutions, a well-known project being the logo of Brașov located on Tâmpa, which can change its colors depending on the orders sent online, explained Dan Vătăjelu, CEO of Flash Lighting Services and President of the Romanian Association for Lighting, at the conference „Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Brașov 2022”, organized by Energynomics.
“The possibilities are endless, but the realization can be done only through a process of digitization, which implies a profound transformation of the approach,” said Dan Vătăjelu.
Flash Lighting Services has 166 employees and is present in 14 cities, with a dispatch center in Brașov. “We have over 20 years of experience and we are the leader of the public lighting market in Romania. We manage over 5,000 km of illuminated roads, and Brașov is a reference project for us. Here, in a proportion of 90%, there are no more overhead cables. All public lighting has been rebuilt, and now we are in the energy efficiency stage, the transition to the digital area. The public authority has concerns in this regard and we are happy to support the energy efficiency and consumption reduction program. Two other reference projects are the fortress of Sighișoara, for which we built the architectural lighting a few years ago, and the BNR building in Bucharest, illuminated 9 years ago. The system is still in function and it proves that the solutions used were the right ones,” said the director of Flash Lighting Services.

Professional lighting includes concepts such as Service Lighting (LaaS), in which customers pay only for the light, without paying the investment. The EPC contracts, quite difficult to implement in Romania, brought in the Flash Lighting Services portfolio two projects in the industrial area. Then, the concession of the lighting service involves the transfer of the obligations to the operator. Flash Lighting Services also carries out energy efficiency projects and projects adapted for the future (Future Proof).
