The government adopted, during the meeting on Monday, the winter program in the energy field, which establishes the level of fuel stocks for the production of electricity, which the producers must provide until November 1, 2019, the PM Viorica Dăncilă announced, quoted by Agerpres.
“We are preparing in time for the cold season, taking the necessary measures to ensure the necessary stocks for the proper functioning of the national power system between November 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020. We approve in today’s session the winter program in the energy field, through which we establish the level of stocks of fuels for the production of electricity, which manufacturers must provide until November 1, 2019, but also the required volume of water from the development lakes. Thus, the volume of gas stored increases by 10% compared to 2018, and the reserves from the big hydropower accumulations – by 25%. We take these measures so that all institutions and companies in the field are well prepared to prevent any kind of problem in energy supply,” said the head of the Executive, on Monday, in the opening of the government meeting.
