Daniel Apostol was named as Secretary General of Romanian Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association (ROPEPCA). Moreover, the association’s website – www.ropepca.ro – was reshaped and now includes also the membership conditions and all of the association’s position papers on various legal and business subjects related to the business environment in Romania.
“Daniel Apostol is a highly experienced journalist, who has been involved for many years in different ways in supporting the business environment in Romania. I am confident that his involvement in the association will bring more efficiency in public communication of ROPEPCA activities”, said Artur Stratan, President of ROPEPCA.
The new website is an easy-to-navigate online companion and offers a content-rich experience and an online community. The ROPEPCA Members area offers access to the member companies’ presentations, while the Press section gathers and displays the press releases, newspapers, TV & radio appearances, opinions & interviews, as well as a presentation of the association’s spokesman.
The new website is now the place to monitor for published articles, industry guidelines, reports and best practices, answers to the frequently asked questions and useful links. The ROPEPCA members’ contact details featured in homepage enables visitors to quickly and easily contact each and all the association members for specific info and business proposals.
“Realizing the importance of coordinating our activity with the oil & gas authorities, with the associations and general public in Romania, we initiated these changes, fully supported by the Management Committee. These changes include, apart from the new website, an enhanced communication and, therefore, a stronger influence on how our business is shaped”, stated Artur Stratan, ROPEPCA’s President.
According to Daniel Apostol, the new modern design of the website reflects the professionalism of the ROPEPCA members. The new structure is better equipped to meet the needs and answer questions of the members and other professionals interested in the Upstream sector.
“The new website is designed to offer a meeting place where all the Upstream players can interact with ROPEPCA and can communicate issues that need consultations to ensure a smooth flow of this vital business and maximize its contribution to national economies. It is also a new communication channel of the Association with the general public, where it can better showcase its stance and points of view regarding the interaction between the industry and the authorities”, stated Daniel Apostol.
ROPEPCA will continue to provide Government and all institutional partners with industry-specific data, statistics and forecasts so as to satisfy the need for public information, to support the industry growth, and to contribute to the development of the entire Romanian economy. ROPEPCA gathers the most 19 active companies in the onshore industry in Romania.
Currently ROPEPCA’s members hold a vast majority of the onshore concession blocks in Romania, which in 2014 represented a cumulative investment of 1.5 billion euros, a turnover of almost 5 billion euros, a tax contribution of 2.5 billion euros to the state budget and created and maintained 18,200 jobs.
