The energy solutions company Datacor from Bistrița has announced the completion of a new project in Prahova county.
“It is about the installation of a photovoltaic plant for the Decathlon Ploiești store. It is a photovoltaic plant with an installed power of 200 kWp, which will produce 247 MWh per year. The positive effect on the environment is the avoidance of the emission of 116 tons of carbon each year, if this energy had been produced from fossil fuels,” explained representatives of Datacor Green Energy (DGE), according to Transilvania Business.
Decathlon is a company that produces and sells sports goods, sports equipment and clothing from France, present in 45 countries with 1,400 stores, being the largest seller of sports products in the world.
The brand is owned by the French billionaire Mulliez family, which also owns Auchan, Kiabi, Leroy Merlin. In Romania, Decathlon has a network of about 30 stores and controls the bicycle manufacturer Madirom Prod Timișoara.
Datacor is a regional provider of integrated solutions in the field of solar energy, communications and infrastructure. It operates in the office, retail and industrial and green energy segments. Datacor SRL had a business of 38 million lei, with a profit of 8.7 million, being owned by Bogdan Bilegan (75%) and Cristian Bilegan (25%).
Datacor has five work points: Bistrița – administrative and logistics headquarters, Bucharest – secondary and logistics headquarters, Cluj – presence and logistics point, Iași, Timișoara – service centers. Its partners include Corning Optical Communications, Vertiv and Honeywell.
