The Electrician’s Trophy is a professional competition with tradition and is held around July 20 when Saint Elias, the patron and protector of those who work in the energy sector, is celebrated.
For the first time this year, the Electrician’s Trophy also included the Energy Distribution Dispatcher section, a section introduced by Delgaz Grid as early as 2021 in the competition program.
The Junior Electrician’s Trophy, in which students from educational units with an energy profile from the activity areas of the four major distribution operators competed, reached the 2nd edition at the national stage.
At the Delgaz Grid level, the section for juniors was introduced as early as 2016, with students from high schools with an energetic profile from Moldova participating in it.
The “Electrician’s Trophy” is a traditional event, probably the longest-running and far-reaching professional competition in Romania. The 47-year history of the competition begins in 1977 and is closely linked to Moldova and the city of Iasi, with the first edition taking place in Iasi.
