The digitization of the activities and operations of companies and citizens must go hand in hand with the creation and application of cybersecurity solutions, said Gabriel Tache, Country Sales Manager at Eaton Romania, during the DigitALL 2023 conference, organized by Energynomics.
“By 2026, the interconnection between people will be so great that we will be using super apps just to talk to each other. I think in the medium term everyone will be aware that digitalisation and cyber security go hand in hand. We need this, so that it doesn’t happen like in 2021 when a whole PV plant was put on hold because of cybersecurity reasons,” said Tache.
The increase in the number of renewable energy installations is visible both at European level and in Romania, and this advance generates both opportunities and challenges.

According to another study cited by Tache, 50% of companies worldwide are prepared to face such challenges, but many companies are only now starting to address this issue. For all these challenges, Eaton has created a number of software and cloud appliances that enable secure management of energy equipment.
The DigitALL 2023 conference was organized by Energynomics, in partnership with the CIO Council and with the support of our partners Eaton Electric, Huawei, NextGen, Schneider Electric, Siemens.
