Starting today, April 1, dispatchers as well as other categories of personnel with an essential role in supplying electricity to Oltenia and partially Muntenia (Argeş and Teleorman counties) will carry out their activity in isolation at work, or adopting new protection rules, the company announced.

The management of the company continues to apply all the security measures available to ensure the health of its employees, as well as the comfort of the electricity consumers, both households and those with a special role in stopping the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic (authorities, hospitals, quarantine units, etc.)

Thus, starting today, April 1, the dispatch service of Oltenia Distribution will be carried out under the following conditions:

• The dispatching service will be performed weekly, with half of the personnel available, in isolation conditions, at one of the premises related to the activity;
• The program of the dispatchers will be of 8 hours/ shift of service, for one week;
• Specially arranged spaces will be provided for the rest period, with all the necessary amenities (showers, sleeping places, etc.), as well as the provision of three hot meals per day, by contracting a catering service;
• Sets of protective materials (masks, gloves, disinfectant solutions) will be distributed periodically;
• The dispatch personnel will be isolated from the rest of the personnel in the building;
• After completing a week of work, the dispatchers will move to their home addresses, where they will remain in isolation for another week, after which they will resume their activity;
• The other half of the dispatch personnel, which is not present at the service shift, will remain in isolation, at home, until the time they enter the shift;
• The high-voltage grid between the DEO dispatchers shall be mutually reserved in SCADA;
• Two additional reserve centers will be organized for high and medium voltage dispatching activity, in two of the transformation stations in the Oltenia Distribution area, in addition to the four already established in Pitesti and Craiova;
• Isolation at the workplace will be done for some of the electricians operating stations as well as for SCADA specialists.

At the level of the operating teams of field electricians and the electricians operating transformation stations, Oltenia Distribution intensified the precautionary measures, minimizing the prolonged contact with the personnel of the providers or signing the documents with the energy consumers. All the activities that require the signature of the consumers will be signed individually by the operative personnel, under the mention of emergency situation.

At the same time, the operator has modified the electricians program so that they do not work in teams of more than two or three people and remain rigorous in applying and following the safety procedures required by the current context (wearing gloves and protective masks, performing the shift exchange in open spaces, at distances greater than 2 meters, disinfection of the machines, respectively of the work areas at the beginning of the shift, the abandonment of the use of common the means of transport, the use of the protective equipment of disposable use, of the protective glasses, etc.)
