Over 4,500 electricity consumers from Argeş, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinţi, Olt, Teleorman and Vâlcea counties wanted to become prosumers and benefit from non-reimbursable financing within the Program on the installation of photovoltaic systems for electricity production, started by the Ministry of Environment, through the Administration for the Environmental Fund.

Out of the total of 26,000 files submitted at the country level, 4,500 were from the Distributie Oltenia operational area, of which only 1,800 files were approved by the Environmental Fund Administration, 42 prosumers being already connected to the Distributie Oltenia network.

The project started by the Ministry of Environment involved granting a non-reimbursable financing of up to 90% of the investment value, up to 20 thousand Lei, and the difference was borne by the final beneficiary, from its own financial sources.

Distributie Oltenia has adapted its connection procedures and deadlines in order to respond as soon as possible to grid connection requests from energy consumers who have purchased installations for the production of electricity from renewable sources with an installed capacity of no more than 27 kW per place of consumption. Thus, Distributie Oltenia simplified the necessary documentation for issuing the technical connection approval, reduced the deadlines for issuing the technical approvals, the ones for concluding the connection contracts, mounting the measuring devices and issuing the connection certificates.
