Doru Vișan, secretary of state in the Ministry of Energy, characterized as “an exaggeration” the statement that Romania was very close to the blackout (general power outage) twice this year, according to financialintelligence.ro.

Doru Vișan said that Romania was not, at any moment, near the blackout, as Transelectrica did not throw in its reserves.

According to a specialist, Romania was very close to the blackout twice this year, once in the beginning of the year, in the winter, and the second time in the last days, when both Unit 1 from Cernavodă and the power station in Brazi were stopped, due to the lack of production capacities.
