E.ON Energie România has completed the installation of one of the largest photovoltaic energy generation systems mounted on roofs in Romania, within the partnership concluded with the Bistrita-based company TeraPlast in 2018, the value of the investment being of about 1.9 million euro.
Thus, over 7,000 photovoltaic modules, 30 inverters and approximately 55,000 linear meters of cables were installed on the roofs of production halls and buildings. Through this photovoltaic energy system, TeraPlast will provide 11% of the necessary electricity from renewable sources and will reduce its CO2 emissions in the long term, by up to 660 tons per year.
“We are glad that in a rather fragile economic and social context we managed to implement what we set out to do together with our partners: the completion of a modern, reliable and especially environmentally friendly energy generation system. The results obtained motivate us to continue, at this moment being in progress two other photovoltaic projects,” said Cătălin Iordache, General Manager of E.ON Energie Romania.
The installation related to the Photovoltaic Power Plant in the TeraPlast Bistrița Industrial Park includes a monitoring system through which the state and operational results can be monitored and analyzed, both locally and remotely. Roofing systems have a maximum rated power of 1,936 kWp I -installed DC power and 1,600 kW of AC power.
The E.ON-TeraPlast partnership continues, at this moment two new photovoltaic projects are being implemented, one also in Bistrița municipality and another in Băicoi city.
