E.ON Energie Romania has so far installed about 100 public and private charging points for electric cars, through the E.ON Drive project. The stations are mostly for fast charge, with a power of 50 kW DC and allow the charging of up to 80% of the battery in 30-40 minutes, depending on its capacity and the car model.
Most charging points are in Bucharest and in the region of Moldova, but also in other locations in the country, these being presented interactively through the online platform E.ON Drive or through the mobile application E.ON Drive (available for both Android and iOS). The E.ON electromobility solution is addressed to both individuals and business customers, among whom are mainly companies operating in the field of HoReCa, real estate and industry.
“For us, electric mobility is more than a concept or an innovative step in technology. It is another proof of the way we contribute to the protection of the environment and to a green future,” said Claudia Griech, Deputy General Manager of E.ON Energie Romania.
This year the number of charging sessions through the E.ON Drive application exceeded 2,200, approximately 33.3 MWh being used through the E.ON Drive charging points. For comparison, this amount of energy would cover more than 180,000 km and reduce CO2 emissions by about 25 tonnes.
At the same time, based on a partnership concluded last month with Hubject, all E.ON Drive charging points will be integrated by the end of the year into the interoperable Roaming Hubject platform (hubject.com), the largest station network in the world, which will make long-distance travel easier.
