E.ON Energia Romania launched three new fast charging stations for electric vehicles last month in Bacău, as well as at two at Mol petrol stations in Sovata and Gheorgheni, the number of units installed by the company thus reaching eleven. The initiative is part of the NEXT-E project, co-financed by European funds, through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program, through which E.ON Energie Romania is set to install a total of 19 units for fast charging of vehicles, other 21 to be installed by MOL, one of the partners in this project.

“Our plans announced in 2017 for the development of a national electric vehicle charging network are taking shape. The accesses of the already operational stations show us that we are on the right track in offering our clients a viable and ecological alternative to the traditional vehicles ”, said Dan Morari, General Manager of E.ON Energie Romania.

Commissioned in February BC, the charging station in Iasi recorded the highest number of loads (104), followed by those from Adjud (61) and Suceava (43).

The three charging stations in Bacău, Sovata and Gheorgheni have a maximum power of 93 kW. Thus, the average charging time of an electric car will be about 40 minutes for 80% of the battery. Each station has a fast charge type station 2×50 kW (direct current) + 1×43 kW (alternating current).
