E.ON has launched a bond offering with a total value of 600 million euro, maturing in December 2028. The income generated will be used for general corporate purposes, including to refinance bonds maturing in April.
“The positive signal from the market has encouraged the approach to cover in advance a considerable part of the financing needs in 2021,” company officials say.
Revenue is mainly intended to refinance bonds maturing in April.
With significantly lower funding needs compared to last year, with EUR 600 million available at the beginning of the year, E.ON has managed to address a considerable part of its projected funding needs for 2021 and therefore continues to apply prudent liquidity risk management.
The transaction was brokered by an international banking consortium.
