E.ON’s Board of Supervisors has appointed Patrick Lammers as Karsten Wildberger’s successor, who will leave the company at his own request to take over as CEO at Ceconomy AG.
Lammers is currently the CEO of E.ON Essent, the main electricity supplier in the Netherlands. At the same time, he is responsible for E.ON for sales and customer solutions in Western and Eastern Europe.
Lammers joined Essent in 2010 and held various management roles before becoming a member of the board of directors in 2012 and chairman of the company’s board of directors in 2017. At the same time, he also held core group positions for RWE Group and later for innogy, including as Senior Vice President Digital Retail.
In addition to more than ten years in the energy sector, Lammers also has many years of in-depth experience in industries and markets outside the traditional energy industry. From 2007 to 2009, he was CEO of the British group Dyson plc, and from 2005 to 2007 he was CEO of Dureal, a start-up company for sales, marketing and production AdBlue, which he transformed into a pan-European company. Prior to that, he worked for Royal Dutch Shell for approximately 15 years, holding international positions in the Downstream.
