E.ON Software Development (ESD), part of the German E.ON Group, has initiated an ambitious development plan of its activities in Romania, which means increases the number of employees from 100 persons to 400 over the next two years.
Iaşi is one of the fastest developing university cities of Romania within the IT segment, this being one of the advantages taken into account by E.ON when deciding to set up a Research, Development and Innovation Center in this location for all Group companies at global level.
The opportunities provided by the local labour market, regarding the recruiting of highly specialized and experienced software developers were another strong argument for E.ON in taking the decision to extend its activities as part of long-term plans.
“The chance to work for one of the biggest players in the energy segment in Europe, the encouraging of personal initiatives, the multiple option for high level professional development in an environment that is full of challenges, the flexible working hours and also the adequate acknowledgment of personal merits and achievements are only a few of the reasons that make our company an excellent employer”, Florian Enea, General Manager of E.ON Software Development
The average age of the specialists hired by the company is 30, and the company is also developing internship programs to attract talented young people starting from their university training years.
To be able to sustain its medium and long-term plans, starting with June, the company has moved its offices to a state-of-the-art building, located in central Iasi. At the MCM Center Office, also known locally as the Central Hall, the employees will work in generous and friendly spaces, they will have specially designed relaxing and socializing islands and will have access to all latest facilities that an office building can provide.
E.ON Software Development was established in 2017.
