The “Networks of the Future” campaign will be launched by E.ON and the nine German regional companies (Avacon, Bayernwerk, E.DIS, enviaM Group, HanseWerk, Lechwerke (LEW), Süwag, VSE, Westenergie) on the night of May 9, with a drone show in the Berlin sky at the Olympiapark. Through this, E.ON wants to draw attention to the importance of energy networks, smart and digital, for a sustainable future.
As night falls, 150 drones will fly grouped into 13 formations, surpassing the current Guinness World Record of 12 formations.
As part of the “Networks of the Future” campaign, E.ON will work with its regional companies in the coming months to present how distribution networks contribute to the success of the energy transition and how the company transforms and expands networks for a sustainable future.
The drone show kicks off the campaign, as drones are increasingly used in networking, fly over aerial lines and are an important tool for checking and maintaining them. In addition, drones represent the domination of physical forces through a successful interaction of electricity and intelligent technology – just like E.ON networks.
