Eight Romanian projects have qualified for the next stage of the Danube Energy+ program, which addresses young people under 35 with innovative ideas in the field of green energy, announced on Tuesday, in a press release, Transilvania Startup Center Association, partner of the initiative in Romania.

One of the “Made in Romania” projects, qualified in the next phase of Danube Energy+ is the application “Billit: digital shopping voucher”, developed by Oana Durcău and four other students and through which each receipt received can be stored for a good management of expenses and for possible returns, in case the printed receipt is lost. Thus, the team aims to completely eliminate paper vouchers, which involve an additional cost for retailers and is a non-recyclable waste for the consumer.

Another project is Ecocycling, through which the initiators Răzvan Capotă and Gabriel Apahidean aim to develop an electronic waste recycling plant, coupled with a consumer application with which, using gamification methods, to increase the level of recycling of this type of waste.

According to the quoted source, Evolta is a local project developed by Teodor Tiber and Iulian Susan. The two set out to develop the first network of “fast charge” recharging stations for electric cars in the Galaţi – Brăila area.

“The Farmer 4.0”, a project developed by Alexandru Luchian, aims at building a self-sustaining, mobile aquaponics system for the HoReCa industry. “Using this system, restaurants will be able to grow fresh raw materials on their own, throughout the year, in a sustainable way: hot water fish (in pools set up inside restaurants) and fresh greens in a hydrobed system. For low consumption energy, solar panels can be added,” states the Transylvania Startup Center Association, according to Agerpres.

Also, a fifth project was named “Hydrogen PVC” – a home heating system, developed by Ionuţ Procop, which uses hydrogen and helps to decarbonize the degree of electricity.

Three other qualified initiatives in Danube Energy + are: Slick – the prototype for an electric motorbike for each wheel, “Solar Chair” – a social project developed by Luminiţa Vlaicu that builds a wheelchair for people with disabilities, which works with the help of solar energy and “Tapohub” – a new model of small wind energy generator, under test at the National Institute of Aerospace Research.
