Electrocentrale Bucuresti (ELCEN) plans to retrofit two boilers with hot water (CAF) of 100 Gcal / hour (Gcal / h) each, one from CET Vest and the other from CET Grozăveşti shows an announcement of the heat producer.
The aggregate value of the refurbishment works is estimated by ELCEN at about 7 million euros, VAT included. Since the contract was granted, the works must be performed within 1 year and the bids are expected until April 1st, 2016.
The winner will have to, among other things, design, perform the construction works, deliver and install the equipment, machinery, subassemblies and materials to connect them to the existing plants and to conduct operational and performance tests.
The CET Vest unit has been subject to problems that led in January to thermal power outage for several hundred blocks in Bucharest. In addition, also related to CET Vest, ELCEN accuses the American company Turbine Services Ltd. that it delivered for this power plant, two turbine parts that did not meet the requirements outlined in the specification. The contract concluded with the American company is worth 1.88 million euros, including VAT.
