The Board of Directors of Electrica approved on Friday the increase of the share capital of the company with an amount of up to 6.05 million lei, by contribution in kind and in cash, according to a statement of the company submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

As a result of this operation, Electrica’s capital increases from 3.459 billion lei to 3.465 billion lei, according to Agerpres. During the capital increase operation, 604,983 new shares will be issued, with a nominal value of 10 lei, the quoted source states.

The Electrica Group recorded, in the first six months of this year, a consolidated net profit of 109 million lei, a figure that represents 90% of the budgeted annual value.
