Electrica supports the investigation launched by the authorities in Prahova County regarding the electricity thefts and reaffirms its commitment to comply with the laws and all regulations applicable to it in all its activities, the company announced.
“Electrica applies a zero tolerance policy to such practices and assures all stakeholders that in absolutely all such situations, companies within the Electrica Group cooperate fully and transparently with the authorities, by making documents and the necessary information available promptly, including the results of recent internal investigations,” said Corina Popescu, general manager, Electrica.
The company “considers that it is in the interest of both consumers and the company, that such practices are discovered, proven and punished according to the laws in force”, it is also shown in the release sent to energynomics.ro.
Searches took place on Monday in Prahova County, in a corruption case regarding the theft of electricity.
