Transelectrica’s average price for all markets shows an increase of over 100 lei/ MWh in the first quarter (Q1) compared to a year ago.
Electricity prices in the first quarter of this year are much higher than those in the same quarter of last year, on all markets: spot (Day-ahead Market), bilateral (PCCB) and balancing market, according to Transelectrica data.
The average price calculated by the transmission and system operator for all markets was 100 lei/ MWh higher than a year ago, reaching 299 lei/ MWh. In the bilateral contracts markets, the increase was 36%, on the spot of 56%, and in the balancing market the price increased by 2.5 times as a result of the ANRE order which eliminated from the autumn the gap between the maximum and the minimum prices , according to e-nergia.ro.
