In the first half of this year, Elektra Renewable Support has delivered operation and maintenance services for wind and photovoltaic power generation projects of more than 600 MW, said Elena Popescu, the company’s CEO.
“In 2011 we were providing operation and maintenance services for 8 MW and we have now reached over 600 MW in the first half of this year. We have grown as we have had the resources. One of our peculiarities is that we work with our own people,” Popescu said.
The company is also an energy producer and in 2011 it commissioned its first wind power plant. Elektra Renewable Support now has its own portfolio of 50 MW.
According to Popescu, the approval process for new green energy units is no more difficult than it was in 2009, and many investors have started to invest in electricity storage units.
