The invoices related to the consumption of natural gas for November 2021 were issued correctly for the individual clients, having implemented the compensation scheme and the one for capping the prices, Enel Romania representatives said on Monday.
“Between 1 November 2021 and 31 March 2022, Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia customers will receive compensation and capping for both natural gas and electricity prices, in accordance with the new regulations. November 2021 invoices were issued for individual clients, having correctly implemented the compensation scheme and the price capping scheme as established by the specific legislation. A similar mehtod applies for legal entities that have claimed the benefits of capping and exemptions,” says Enel Romania, after the National Energy Regulatory Authority fined Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia with 400,000 lei for non-compliance with the law on compensation and capping of gas bills.
Enel representatives also say that it was an unprecedented operational effort on the part of Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia, generated by the need to urgently modify the IT systems for the implementation of the scheme regulated by successive legislative acts, the latest being published in the Official Gazette on December 18, 2021.
“Therefore, the individual customers received a single invoice, correct, for the mentioned consumption interval, the payment term being the one agreed in the contract, without any other modification,” shows Enel Romania.
