In all 32 countries where it operates, Enel X Romania delivers LED street lighting solutions which have the potential to reduce energy costs by up to 50-60%, said Dorin Chisăliță, Head of eCity at Enel X Romania, at the conference “Sustainable Communities – Iasi”, organized by Energynomics and SmartiCity.
“Street lighting consumes most of the energy in a town. We produce in Romania efficient LED lighting fixtures that we install in all the countries in the group. You will also see them not only in Romania, but in Spain, in Italy, and in other countries as well – street, pedestrian, for sports, architectural and interior lighting”, said Chisăliță.
The products delivered by the company from the Italian group Enel can generate electricity savings of at least 50-60%, and LED bulbs produced in Romania can be adjusted from the factory to reduce their light intensity at certain time intervals, for example when the traffic decreases; this way, it achieves even greater energy savings. The products can be installed in a customized manner, with various applications, on highways, roads and other public roads, but also on pedestrian walkways, in parking lots, in public squares and other spaces of public utility.
“We are open to any collaboration with any municipality. We can offer clients any type of service and consultation, design and access to any type of European fund including. We offer integrated services and want to develop as many effective solutions as possible for our cities”, added Chisăliță.

Enel X Romania is also active in the segment of delivery and installation of photovoltaic panels and the installation of chargers for electric cars. The company’s target is that by the end of 2025 to reach a portfolio of over 75 MW in total installed power for business customers.
