EnergoBit is involved in studies for more than 15,000 MW of renewable energy projects that already have technical connection approvals (ATRs), with another 6,000 MW in the pipeline. This in a context where instantaneous national electricity consumption varies between 6,000 and 8,000 MWh every day, said the founder of the Cluj-based company, Ștefan Gadola, at the Energy Strategy Summit 2024, organized by Energynomics.

“We are in an extremely interesting but also alarming situation. We really need to have a very clear and professional strategy. We need to think about what we want to do and where we want to go. There are a huge number of renewable projects. It is essential to have a competitive price and to attract more energy consumers,” Gadola stressed.

Also, as the number of electric cars grows, there will be a need for fast charging stations, and for that, adequate electricity grids are needed.
