Energy efficiency projects are viable without subsidies

Energy efficiency projects can now be realised without subsidies, although there are still incentives for them, says Christian Leonte, CEO of WALDEVAR Holding.

“Energy efficiency is now 100% achievable without subsidies. Of course, nobody refuses the grants that are on offer. However, I advise companies not to depend on them. The time factor can more than make up for that money you hope to get than you realise. Our experience is that those who act quickly are the winners. It’s true that there are risks, but where are there no risks?” underlined Leonte at the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Timisoara”, organised by Energynomics.

WALDEVAR Holding is already present in international markets, employing more than 800 people and covering the entire value chain from design, construction, operation and maintenance of photovoltaic parks. Among the most important projects developed by the company is a 130 MWp photovoltaic park, followed by others of 80 MW, 73 MW, two 63 MW units and one of 45 MW. In Germany, WALDEVAR is close to finalising a 47 MW solar park.
