Romania exported, in the first five months of this year, electricity worth 450 million euros, 182.4% more compared to the similar period in 2021, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics.
The highest electricity exports from the mentioned period were recorded in January, respectively 104.5 million euros, and the lowest in April – 71.5 million euros.
Regarding imports, they totaled over 712 million euros in the period January-May 2022, being 298% higher compared to the first five months of 2021, according to Agerpres.
The largest imports were made in March, 258 million euros, and the smallest in May – 89.4 million euros.
According to INS data, electricity exports, in quantity, were 2.507 billion kWh, down by 398.2 million kWh compared to the first five months of 2021, and imports by 3.113 billion kWh (plus 35 million kWh).
