The Association of Energy and Electrical Engineers – AIEE, in partnership with the Faculty of Energetics of the University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA in Bucharest, organizes the second edition of the event “Career Days in the Energy Industry” on 23-28 October 2023. The event takes place in the Faculty of Energetics, and the High Voltage Engineering Laboratory hosts, in an unconventional touch, presentations and technical conferences. The vibrant atmosphere and the passion emanating from the organising team are indispensable resources for any young energy scientist eager to explore the world of this industry.
The “Energy Industry Career Days” event kicked off yesterday with a unique opening event featuring representatives from four major energy associations. In the second part of yesterday, the organisers were the interface between academia and business, so the event brought together representatives from several of the country’s top technical faculties and established companies in the energy industry.
Renowned companies in the Romanian energy sector will join the participants of this edition: energy transmission operator, energy producers and distributors, technology developers, Romanian manufacturers of electrical equipment and multinational companies in the energy sector. They will give presentations, including information about the company and organisational culture, internship programmes, job opportunities and last but not least, they will answer the curiosities of young energy professionals. The presentations will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in the already established location of the Faculty of Energetics, the Laboratory of High Voltage Engineering, and in parallel to these, the participants of the event will also enjoy the presence of companies at the stands set up in the main hall of the Faculty of Energetics.
As part of this event, the Faculty of Energetics will host the “International Energy and Environment Conference” on Thursday and Friday, 26-27 October, where specialists in the field will present scientific papers on new developments in energy. Technical conferences on topics of interest in the industry, such as Renewable Energy – Risks and Benefits for Prosumers and the Energy System, Digitisation in the Energy Sector, Energy Security and Resilience, will also be included, with presentations by the event’s partners for students and energy enthusiasts.
As we have become accustomed to the participants of the career events, we will not miss the technical visit which is designed to close the 6-day event programme on a relaxing note. This year the technical visit will take place at a transformer station in Bucharest (Enel) and a Photovoltaic Power Plant, where more than 50 participants of the event will have the opportunity to interact with specialists in the field, right in the middle of the energy installations.
