The loading factor of gas deposits is currently of 50%, more than our country assumed for August 1, wrote on Facebook, the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu.

More than 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas were in storage on Friday, out of a total capacity of 3.07 billion.

According to the minister, Romania has assumed before the European Commission that it will have a loading factor of gas deposits of 46% on August 1, 57% on September 1, 66% on October 1 and 80% on November 1, according to Agerpres.

“Under no circumstances will the problem arise in any of the scenarios, that the protected population or customers, as we call them, the production of heat and electricity, the critical production of electricity, hospitals, kindergartens or anything that means protected customers would not have access to gas or heating,” Popescu also wrote.
