The price of electricity on the spot market of the OPCOM exchange (Day Ahead Market – DAM) averaged 932 lei per MWh in February 2022, a value four times higher than the price recorded in the same month last year, respectively 234 lei per MWh, according to the monthly report posted on the stock exchange operator’s website.

However, the price in February was lower than in the previous month, January 2022, when the quotation was 949 lei per MWh.

The total value of transactions was of 2.158 billion lei in February, up 296% from the same month last year, according to Agerpres.

On the other hand, the volume of transactions increased by only 1.2%, to 2,282,471 MWh.
The market share of DAM was of 49.95%, up 7%.

About 329 participants were registered on the OPCOM spot market, of which 227 were active.
