ENGIE Romania launches a new edition of the professional education program in the dual system. Graduates of the 8th grade have the opportunity to prepare for the job of plumbing and gas installer. ENGIE Romania is investing 2.64 million lei for the qualification of the 49 young people who will enroll this year.
The dual professional education program, “Energy for my job”, is carried out in partnership with the Energetic Technological High School “Elie Radu” from Ploiesti and the Technical College “Mihai Bravu” from Bucharest.
“We continue to support young people who want to learn a trade. This year, a new generation of students will have the opportunity to enroll in our vocational program and prepare for the plumber qualification. The program enjoys great success, as evidenced by the fact that almost all graduates of the program have joined our teams of professionals,” said Eric Stab, President General Director of ENGIE Romania.
Students have financial advantages of up to 1,050 lei per month.
Students who opt for the professional education program in the dual system “Energy for my job” enjoy multiple financial advantages, up to 1,050 lei per month. In addition to the monthly scholarship granted by the Romanian state, worth 200 lei, ENGIE Romania offers:
- Monthly scholarship worth 500 lei;
- Merit scholarship worth 200 lei, depending on school results;
- Supplement of 150 lei to cover pre-urban transport expenses or semi-boarding accommodation.
In addition to financial advantages, students benefit from:
- Lunch for the entire duration of the practice;
- Excellent practice conditions, under the guidance of experienced mentors;
- Technical-sanitary and gas installation installer certification;
- The opportunity to work in one of the company’s subsidiaries, Distrigaz Sud Rețele and ENGIE Servicii, at the end of the three years of studies.
Based on the existing partnership between the companies of the ENGIE Romania Group and the partner educational institutions, the students benefit from theoretical and practical training, for three years, based on a practical training contract. The school provides the human and financial resources for the theoretical training, and the company for the practical training of the students.
ENGIE Romania launched the first edition of the professional education program in the dual system, “Energy for my job”, in 2018, training 215 students from Bucharest, Brașov, Galați and Constanta to obtain the qualification of plumbing and gas installer. The first two generations of students have already obtained the technical-sanitary and gas installer certification, 114 of the 115 graduates working in the two branches, Distrigaz Sud Rețele and ENGIE Servicii. ENGIE Romania invested approximately 11,000,000 lei during the 5 years of the dual education project for the qualification of 264 students.
